I was told that Century will have PAP M92 pistols in a few weeks. I put my name in for one. Any thoughts?

That's a smoking deal considering virgin parts kit cost the same or more. Plus, that's a factory built weapon! I'm probably going to pick up one... or two.

I would have to agree, not a bad deal at that price.

If anyone runs into a dealer who has them in stock please inform us so we can place them on our Prices/Availability list

Look like I'm adding a new item to my purchase list.

Man that is a sweet firearm.

I'm glad I sold my kit for $900.00, sold like in 1/2 hour.

Only took them how many years to figure out we wanted the AKSU style topcover and rear sight?

Century gets extra points for shipping with 2 30 round mags. Its ridiculous when $1000 AKs come with 1 5 or 10 round mag.

I just spoke to my very good/reliable contact at Century and these are on the way and are expected in for August. Then 5.56 x 45mm versions will follow during September. I am getting a 7.62 version for sure.
7/16/2012 3:19:10 PM EDT
[#10]
I'm going to be in for at least two....No need to hunt down a Draco anymore.
7/16/2012 3:25:45 PM EDT

i want both calibers, these are going to be hot sellers. Century is making fucking smart moves.

I think I'd wait for the 223.  Wonder if it will come with hi cap mags?  Speaking of hi caps....which other presently available 223 AK mags would reliably work in the Yugo?
7/16/2012 11:58:02 PM EDT
[#13]
i'll only get the 5.56 if it takes bulgarian/polish mags

Yeah, Yugo M85 mags.

My contact says the 5.56 version will use proprietary mags.

If that is correct I'm not interested is it. 7.62 for me I guess (probably better off anyways).

that would be a monumentally bad move on their part to make it use proprietary mags. i wouldn't even look at one at that point

Bulgy mags can be made to work with the M85. I doubt they're going to redesign the M85 trunnion any differently, so you should still be able to.

If that thing has an underfolder trunnion, your in the SBR game for under $900.

What modification is needed for them to work?

It's definitely the correct underfolder trunnion based on the rivet pattern, but whether or not it's drilled for the stock interface is the real question. I suspect not.

I'm not 100% on what's needed since I've never personally done it. But I do know that it has been done.

Looks really nice. Maybe I'll have to pick one up as a fun gun. I don't have many of those. They're all too damn practical

total down to SBR that, but what about the muzzle?  are the threads completely welded over or what's the story there?

No one really knows since they're not available yet.

I've heard mixed reviews on ordering from Impact Guns. Does anyone have any insight on the best place to preorder one of these?

If it is welded/pinned/tacked threads, you could do a lot worse than a Bulgarian style cup flash hider.

As have I. I'm trying to get a line direct from Century through my FFL.

Although if nobody but Impact has pre-order on these $550 for an honest-to-God ZASTAVA "krink" with the right AKSU style rear leaf and hinged topcover has got to be a pretty good price no matter who will be selling these...
7/20/2012 12:42:29 PM EDT

Well I got on the list at Impact. Eight people in front of me...

I think I may be the first one on the order list and this is the response I got from Impact when inquiring on the expected arrival date:

Mike -

The lead time for this item is approximately another 8 - 12 weeks out. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can help you with.

Thank you -

i thought they said August for these??
7/21/2012 5:52:18 AM EDT
[#35]
That's what Century has said; I'm just reporting what Impact Guns told me.    Maybe they're just trying to hedge the timeline a little since these new imports have a tendency to get delayed....
7/21/2012 4:27:21 PM EDT
[#36]
From what i have been told, some will be here in August. However, they go to dealers first. Like Atlantic said, many want to see new imports before they begin to sell them. Soon after that, they will hit the market.

As already stated, probably not since the Serbs never chrome lined the barrels even for the military.

yea I thought so, thats why I asked.

I hope Arsenal gets smart and jumps on the 7.62 krink pistol to.

I just talked to impact again. Looks like they are getting 25 of these. Lady said 4-6 weeks out. The price is $569 I believe. It's on their site. And they don't charge your card until it ships.

Anyone know what the current number of backorders at Impact is?  Given the possible new laws of just threats of new laws over this CO incident it seems that getting in line on this may be a smart move.  I know that with it being an election year it isn't likely that a law will get passed but our dear leader can just do an executive order and stop imports if I understand it correctly.

I pre-ordered mine on the 24 July.  Kathy from Impact Guns said they have 35 pistols on order and I was the 13th person to pre-order one. She also said it would be 8-12 weeks before they arrive. I don't think they have a clue on when the pistols will get here.

+1
My order was placed on the 24th as well. I talked to them on the prior Friday and they were getting enough interest in the item that they placed another order. Originally 25...bumped up to 35. Also, the back orders went from 8 on the 23rd to 15 on the 25th when I called back.
Before ordering...I talked to Andy at Century (Importer) and he said mid August was current eta in country. He said that they were shipping them on to certain retailers to test, so it may be 8-12 before they're sent from Impact to FFLs. I'm eager, but I like that $590 shipped guarantee that I got in writing from Impact...especially when everybody else I could find even advertising them was $100+ higher.
We'll see!

Well I ordered one at Impact today.  Forgot to ask where I was in the waiting list.  Do I understand you right that Impact is guaranteeing the price for those that actually preorder?  If so that is a good deal.  For anyone else wanting to order, they need a dealer FFL on file BEFORE your order is on the wait list, at least that is what I was told.  I just picked one off there list that was nearby.  Hope they don't charge too much more than the people I used to use that recently quit doing it.
7/26/2012 12:05:57 PM EDT
[#49]
Prior to ordering...I chose to online chat with my sales person.  I asked very specific questions pertaining to the price I would be charged and that they had secured the items at a guaranteed price that was set on this shipment.  I was able to email the transcript of that chat to my address prior to exiting from the chat.  I ordered over the phone with the person that I chatted with and told her what I did and she once again assurred me that the price I was quoted that day was the price that would be charged to my card on the day that the pistol ships... which was a few cents under $590.00 shipped to my FFL.

Just ordered one... Don't care what number in line I am... Now going to have to sell one of the others so the wife doesn't get all bent.
