| I an new to the RPK world and I recently purshased a arsenal RPK in .223, I can't find much info about them. I payed $700 for it and it looks new I was told by arsenal it was made in 2006. I want to find out if they r any good for bench rest shooting and what is the normal sale price for this rifle. Any recomendations for upgrades are welcome. I will upload pictures later. Thanks from PR. |
| I went to the range and took a few shoots with it, it did OK at 100yds but my scope mount was inconsistent. It made 3 or 4 good shoots and then it started deviating 2'' to 3'' off target. Its fun to shoot but a sniper rifle it isn't. Its so pretty i feel guilty shooting it but i don't believe in safe queens. |
| I got it for that price because the guy was moving to the US,he had to sell it. He had it for 1,200 for a month i offered $700 a few days before he had to leave he initialy declined but the day before he left my phone rang and a new rifle came home. If I had more $$$ on hand I probably would had offered more but it actuaky came threw. |

Looks great, but I'm thinking that 74 brake is over kill for a 5.56 RPK.
You should get a Bulby flash hider. It's 5.45mm, so it should be fine for 5.56mm. You could always drill out the hole a hair bigger if you are worried. That's what I did to use it on my 7.62 RPK. I was also thinking that these magazines might interest you. |

Royal Tiger just put those Molot 45 round mags on sale for $30 less than that. |

Quoted: I never could figure out why Arsenal-Bulgaria produced a 5.56 RPK, but never produced a 45-round magazine for it. To me, a 30-round RPK magazine is just plain ![]() Well, since the 5.56 mags don't curve as much as the 7.62 AK mags, maybe they thought it would be too long to use in the prone position? |
