Just received my DSA receiver. Building with a polish parts kit.  Semi parts on the way I hope.   Looking it over there are a couple of things I don't understand. Does the feed tray just sit in the receiver or is it attached somehow? Also I noticed there is no pin retainer plunger hole (rear take down pin)  like on the original demilled receiver.  Normal or is the receiver missing a hole?

The feed tray is held in place by the same pin that retains the top cover.

No experience with the semi receivers, sorry.

That is normal.  I have a Wiselite rec.  There is no detent to hold the pin in on mine.  The rear take down pin was drilled and threaded in the end for a small button head hex bolt.  This holds the rear pin in so it does not walk out.

hope this helps.

The differences(major ones at least)
the rear takedown needs a detent drilled
bolt rail slots are undersized, done on purpose, denial feature
grip frame rails are too short, done on purpose, denial
barrel pin hole is not drilled
