I have two different style belts for my RPD. The one where there is a bump that rides in the grove of the shell case - http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e72/jfg_4/IMAG0341.jpg And the kind that has the piece that stays behind the case - http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e72/jfg_4/IMAG0338.jpg The one on the top is awesome to load. The rounds just slide in. The one on the bottom is a PITA to load! The only way I can find to load them is to press the case against that "stopper" and push down till the round pops through the clamp. I just loaded 200 rnds that way and it sucks! My thumb is about to fall off Anyone have a better answer? J Where did you get each from so I know where not to order my belts from? |

If you are planning on running these through a semi RPD be advised that it will prefer the links to be lubed slightly. This will also help with loading.
Actually, I prefer the links with the 90* tab as they hold the rounds more securely while the gun is firing. They are easy to load as well if you simply lay the round on the slot of the link and then push it straight down. They snap in with no problem. Either style of links work and load without too much difficulty. |

I loaded a few more belts - this time I laid the round on a firm surface and pushed the belt on to it. Before I had been laying the belt down and pushing the round. Thanks! |
