I have noticed 2 different types of gas blocks on polish underfolders. Does anyone know about this. One has a flat milled on top and the other is rounded . Is there a time line on these?

Machined (early) and Cast (later). Every now and again you will see a machined block on a later gun - this is just because old parts were available at the time and used. The machined blocks have a smooth arch and the cast without an arch.
