[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Polish under folder build question

I just purchased a Polish underfolder kit. I have never built a polish AK before, is the build similar to the Romanian "G" kits. Are these just your standard AK or will I run into a threated barrel or something?

Any info would be apreciated. Thanks guys.

Who did you purchase it from? I bought 2 kits from AA one a grade 2 and the other grade 1. They honestly look the same both excellent kits. I sent one to a builder and the other I built myself. Turned out good for a first build. No problems removing the barrel pin, came out fairly easy as did the barrel. Picked up all good info on this site. Do your homework before you start and you will have good results. Good luck on your build.

No worries cagba, the barrels on all AKM's are pinned, not threaded.

You shouldn't have any problems building that thing up!

Just like any other stamped kit....only difference is you are dealing with an underfolder instead of the fixed stock.

I just pulled the barrel from an Polski underfolder kit last night as a matter of fact. Exactly the same as a Bulgarian AK74, a Romanian AKM47, the Tantal, etc. Pop the pin, push out the barrel.

Can You use the same receiver blank that you do on the romanin build without trunion holes?

Yep, same reciever. I used the GT 1mm on Polish and Romanian.

Me too! I just bought my 1st Pol UF last night. Now I'm up to 5 kits.

Not bad since I only got started on this AK thing 2 months ago.
