You're crushing your rivet heads. If it's anything like an like an East German folder. The stock is removed by unscrewing the screw in your second picture then, unscrewing your pistol grip. From the inside of the receiver press the lever down with your thumb or a flat head screwdriver, then wedge a flat head screw driver right behind it to pull it out. Once the lever is pulled out, the nut for the pistols grip's screw can be removed. Now all you have to do is pull the stock out and your new one will slide in and attach with the same screw holes. |
| PhreakMode's pix shows the two pins that need to be driven out, but it looks like they're not installed in your rifle from what I can see in your second picture. Start by removing the pistol grip and nut which is explained in full detail by Mein-Teil, remove the one screw on the back of the tang. If there are pins installed (but it doesn't look like it) you'll have to punch them out and the folder should come right out. |
Looks like the Tantal only has an upper tang? If that's the case, could you mount the Tantal folder onto an SLR-95, assuming requisite number of American parts otherwise? |
Nice grouping

Well, For me it will be because 1) The Folding Stock is very uncomfortable. 2) The folding stock is too short. 3) A 6-position adjustable stock will allow my wife, and myself to shoot it comfortably. AK's were designed with 2 intention's in mind. 1) Work as a semi-accurate sub-machine gun shooting Pistol size bullets. 2) Work under conditions that most firearms would otherwise fail. No matter what you do to the looks and feel of an AK. It will still perform those 2 Functions FLAWLESSLY! -ThaChad |

Should be 2 of them. See the countersunk hole in front of the slotted screw? It's an easy swap and you shouldn't have to remove the pistol grip to do it.

. I like to make sure no part of the target feels left out!
