BBT just drop my kit from CFS, Here are some pictures and reviews, Remember all the kits are come from century arms international, these kit are not brand new, they are demilled from a service Galil Gun, as from what I can tell it's a used gun kits, it may show some rust but not heavy, finish is about 85% . here is are some pictures enjoy !!

Handguard are not bad at all, show some used wear

Same as butt stock, show some wear , but the butt pad looks new

Gas Block, this is AR Gas Block, ARM has bipod holds and holder under the gas block

Here is all the guts, metal show wear some of finish are gone, but you can refinish , as long it ain't rust, who cares

Mag are goner, but  sandblast  and a little print looks as new

Tops cover, bolt , carrier , gas tube and recoil spring, the Cocking Handle Knob show some rust or wear, but sarco got them for $5 brand new,

at last , the US Made Barrel, everything are cut and ready , front and rear are ready for receiver and Flash hidder , also cuts for the hand guard holder, all you need is drill the gas hole

looks nice

What's the rate of twist on the barrel and does it have Tritium inserts in the night sights?

Looks like you are missing the front flip-up night sight?

That should make a fine rifle. The ARM kit I built up in 2002 had even less finish left, but the finish has no bearing on how well it shoots.

It's unfortunate that they did all of the barrel work already on the new barrel, as it complicates the build. The extractor cut on the breech, the front HG retainer slot, and the gas port are all best done after the barrel is torqued properly and headspaced.

Do they use anything on the threads to keep them from backing out.. like Lock-tite?

thanks,
Ron

ETA:

What do you use to shim the barrel?

I wonder if a barrel without the front handguard hanger cut is available? Those who want to use the R4 handguard, which is longer than the standard Galil unit, would have to make an extra cut in the barrel.
