I JUST BOUGHT A GALIL SNIPER RIFLE AFTER WANTING TO OWN ONE FOR YEARS.

I JUST WANTED TO SEE IF ANYONE NEW HOW MANY CAME INTO THE COUNTRY?

Less than 20.
IIRC,there's only about 14 of the pre-ban(1989)AA imports floating around.Any other snipers were made from kits.I have 3 of the kit builds.

I have see them for $8500 back in 2001 to $15000 like 2 moths ago.

How much different are these to a regular .308 ARM?
I see the the obvious barrel, gas cylinder is longer and the furniture, but was there a major change in the bolt or trigger group?

i can not confirm this but i heard the # was about 6 complete guns. I don't own one but i have a friend that does .One way or the other very rare

Verry nice rifle. Have you shot it? If so, what kind of groups are getting? I've always been curious how well these things shoot. I love that case.

have money want to buy - please someone get bored - so i can have one

ps can someone tell me the difference between the "Heavy SMOOTH Tapered" and the "Heavy STEP Tapered" barrels? is one earlier than the other or what? i would think the tapered would shoot more accurate?
