The selector switch on my Golani Sporter, located on the left side of the weapon just above the pistol grip, has two settings: safe and fire. It is almost impossible to use as I have to reach up and over the top of the weapon and move the selector lever on the right side of the weapon just to make the selector swtich work. Do I just not have enough strength in my thumb or is there some advice that someone can give me to make this go easier?

Check the backside of the right side paddle for the stand off dot.
It's the little spot at the front above the 90 degree tab.
If the dot is worn off the selector will drag and be hard to move.
If the dot is ok and you are good with a dremel you can use a burr and taper the lead in/out of the notches on the right side of the rec. to make it easier to switch.

Gently bend the selector on the right side away from the recevier, it will reduce the amount of tension and make it easier to manipulate the thumb selector.  Go slow.
