To all those in the know about builds or have this information available, what is usually replaced on these kits for US compliance? I have a US receiver. So, five parts to go. What else?

The fire control group counts as three. Any suggestions where I should go? Can somebody school me on the single vs. double hook trigger (sorry, I am new to this)? Which one should I buy for the parts kit?

Muzzle break? Which is the best website or who has them in stock?

Finally, should I replace the gas piston? I thought that the yugo's used a modified gas piston.

On another note, where is a good place to go for a rivets set? Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

Yugo pattern US grips are rare but out there, other US pistol grips are easy. I do not have mine handy now, but get the 'hook' your parts kit has. Worst case you get double and need to either notch the rec extra of dremel off the spare hook. not that critical.

I "ahem" think the Yugos need longer front rivets for the fat trunion, but I am not Mr Builder...

AK-builder.com will have a set of the correct rivets for your Yugo.  Its really a matter of choice on the trigger hook.  The double trigger hooks were made for early AK47s.  The purpose of the second hook was for a back up incase one of the hooks broke.  The hooks never did so the second hook was dropped from production on later AK models.  With your U.S. receiver and FCG you only need two more.  I have about 15 magazines with U.S. followers and floor plates to take care of compliance.  That way when I build all I need is the receiver and FCG.  Muzzle nuts and pistol grips are also a cheap and easy way to comply.  Im not sure who is selling the Yugo grips now.  I have changed pistons before but I try to keep the original ones instead out of preference.  Good luck with the build.
