I realized why my handguards don't line up right. There is a gap between the reciever and rear gas block. About 3/16" That's how far my hand guards are off. Maybe I'm being picky and I know these are hard to come by but it bugs the shit out of me. If I knock the pin out and move it I'll have to re drill, then move the front gas block too. Possibility that the gas port won't line up then. I contacted Century by e-mail. Havn't heard back yet. Any suggestions?

No, I'm not sure what to do about getting the handguards to line up. I do know that if you were to move the rear sight block back, your top cover will no longer fit. Check out this link to see many more pics of AKs with the same gap. www.ak47.net/forums/topic.html?b=4&f=93&t=64490 |
| Talked to Century and they said they put a different gas tube on my M70. They said the handguards are still about 1/16" off. They gave me the option of another rifle but this one functions well and I already refinished it so I told them I would keep it. Supposed to get it back this week. Customer service was actually pretty good. Turn around was about 2 weeks including ship time. |
