I was at a gun show this past weekend and I bought an AK on a whim (didn't feel like a whim to my credit card ... more like a wham!).  I thought I had done my research well enough and now that I've bought it I'm beginning to have doubts.

Remember I am new to the AK scene.  I bought a M70AB2 distributed by Century International Arms.  It has an underfolding stock.  It looks new but has cosmoline on some of it (not heavy).  What else do I need to provide to have a positive identification?

Nothing more really. What you paid for it, is the only real point. They are generally great weapons that Century made which isn't standard for Century sometimes.

You have a Century M70AB2 Yugo UnderFolder if it looks like this.....

I just bought one as well. Cost me a bit IMHO. I love mine. Accurate as hell for an AK in 7.62x39. My most accurate AK so far.

Thanks... looks just like the photo.  I had some doubts after I started seeing something about parts kits etc.  It seemed very well put together to me.  I bought a 30 round magazine at the same time and it doesn't fit.  It is just a hair too wide for the mag well.

I assume all I have to do is just barely touch up the mag well with a file?

ETA ... now for the tough part... what SHOULD I have paid for it?

No, either buy different mags, or touch up the mags to fit.  I would not touch-up a firearm to make a mag fit.

That doesn't hurt my feelings, I didn't want to go sawing away at my new baby anyway

No more than $600.00 regardless...

$500 sounds average

Whew!  I was worried that I got taken at $505.  I'd done some research and it seemed maybe a bit high but it looked so clean and the barrel was in such good shape I couldn't resist.
