| I just noticed tonight that the main character "Tom Mason" is now carrying a Yugo M70B1 on the show this season. Kinda looks like a Mitchell arms one with the fat M76 PG on it. It could be a Tabuk version, but I am pretty sure it is a Yugo. As a side note, there is a sweet M1 carbine folder I saw somebody carrying too. They seem to have a thing for any type of AK's in general on that show. |

I know its sci-fi and all, but the biggest fiction isn't the aliens - is all those folks in Mass with NFA ARs, AKs, G36's, M2 carbines, Russian 14.5 Dshk, etc. AYFKM??
In all my travels to Mass over the decades - only met one soul that actually owned a gun. Hope the skitters win. |

I think I'm current with the show now, finished episode 4 of season two today. Got several good looks at the B1 Mason is now carrying. Since the B1 is my favorite AK variant, it's good to see it on film. I like the show and will now stick with it. Gonna suck to watch it with commercials, because everything I've watched so far has all been commercial-free. A lot of good gun porn in the show, but I constantly have to remind myself it's a TV show and not get too worked up about the many tactical oversights that are committed on both sides. Every person in the 2nd Mass should be dead a hundred times over by now. |

It "the B1" really does look good on film doesn't it? And I hear you about the tactical oversights. I do get worked up about it and the wife tells me to dial it back a notch. As it is only a TV show. I would have figured with some the names involved with the show, "Spielberg, Dreamworks..." they would have given the cast a little bit of tactical training just to make it look better. Either way it is a pretty good show with my fav AK type rifle in the starring role. |

Things got a little weird with the rebel skitter faction Yeah, I wasn't ready for that one either Liquidmetal. This is about the right time for it to start getting interesting though, it being half way through the 2nd season. And the B1 couldn't be a CIA build, It is still working! Really though, I don't think it is a CIA build. It has the matte blue finish on it. Not the CIA green park job. I also really like that Galil that Hal is using.

Definately a yugo M70B1.. haven't noticed the PG though, but I know I kept that M70 grip and put it on my WASR. best AK grip out there. Compared to the romanian wasr I have now, that M70 was such a beefier, nicer AK rifle... it seemed every part was built stronger and heavier. And to think I always thought all AKs were the same. |
