[ARCHIVED THREAD] - M70AB2 Receiver thickness

I have a Century M70AB2 and I was comparing the receiver to my fathers Norinco MAK90 and the receivers looked pretty much the same thickness so I took out my gauge to check and see if the thickness was the stated 1.6mm and couldnt find a good spot to check the thickness of either.......soo where can I check it on the M70 or just assume they are both built on 1.6 receivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As stamped Yugos go, if it has the bulged RPK front trunnion the receiver is 1.6mm, if not then 1.0mm (M70AB1 or M92 for example).

Norinco MAK90's have the thicker 1.6 mm receiver.
