| For all of you that have experience with these rifles, is there anything that I need to know as far as maintenance that isn't already common sense? Meaning, are there any parts that I should possibly stock up on just to have "on hand" in case something breaks? From what I have read so far on here, the Yugos are great guns, just curious. I have always been one to stock up on not only ammo but parts too, and since the compatibility of these guns is different from other ak's just wanted some of your opinions..thank you |
| Good to hear! Yea I am already stocking up on the ammo, just need more magazines! Will this thing feed pretty much any type of ammo? I also bought a case of Ulyanovsk fmj 122gr. The dealer had some HP Wolf but decided to first stick with the FMJ. After reading other posts it looks like it was a good decision to purchase this gun, and glad I did! |
| i have both the underfolder and the fixed stock. in thousands of rounds neither has hick up'd once. and i throw what ever is cheap. wolf, bear, yugo, tula, WW white box from walmart.. never have i seen a reliability difference, although a accuracy difference is another story. but it hits "minute of chest" at 100 no matter what type or brand:) |

+1 to Yugo rifle accuracy. I've actually gotten very respectable groupings out to 75 or 100 yards, though I like to shoot from 50 most of the time. I don't have any detailed range reports for it but the last time I shot just to see how small I could get the group it was sub-3" at 75 with Wolf mil classic. Metal mags and lots of ammo for sure. Maybe a couple of those surplus 4-cell mag pouches if you want, I kind of like them personally. There are a couple of options for mounting red dots like the Primary Arms ones (Gen 7 I think) on Yugos now too. I might do that some day As far as parts breakage...maybe a spare firing pin or trigger/hammer springs at most. Not a lot to worry about, especially with these tank-like Yugos! |
