I see that on Century's website they list 2 differnt receivers 1 is 1mm and the other is 1.5 mm. Any advantage to one over the other?

Primary reason the Yugoslavians went with the heavier receiver was for increased strength to stand up to frequent grenade launching.  Your typical US user sees no real benefit.
