My eyes aren’t as good as they used to be, so I have become a scope person. With all the problems involved with putting a long scope on an SKS, i decided to try a short one. I could not find one with enough magnification for my needs. So I had to figure out how to put a long scope on. I found a receiver/mount on eBay for $20. The scope that came with it was junk, but I was able to take it apart and have my uncle, machine me a part. Check it out. Receiver before modification:   Receiver taken apart. Top part taken for hole measuerment and mount:  Put togother:    The stripper clips still load without problems, and no empty shells hit the front!! |
