Ok, my SKSD takes the AK mags, but the dam things were soooo tight that I was wondering why the five rd mag slipped in and out so well. I took calipers and measured the locking lip on the mags, they were all new romanians, and figured out they were 1/10 th of an inch over sized by comparison. I took a set of jewlers files and fixed that. So then they were still hangin up but a little easier to get in. I then compared the feed lips 5rd to 30rd, and could see that the leading edge on the five rd mag had been reduced. I am talking about the normaly realllllly sharp chanel groove on the front of the top mag, where the case dips and slips in when chambered. My five rd factory mag has been beveled down by about an 1/8th inch, so I took the file and smoothed off that dogs ear that is so sharp on the front of the Ak mags, and tried the mag. It engaged the mag catch easily, and slipped in the lock !!!! Wow I had fixed the problem, and done no mod to the rifle or mag well. My little 16in Brl SKSD is a gem now. I can change mags quickly and easily, and I hope I have helped to fix any problems you might have had. Go getim guys.
