I think you have hit on the weak link for the sks D and M rifles. I have yet to see one for sale..even the regular trigger groups are a bit scarce.
I would find a regular trigger group, maybe from a cheap beater rifle and have one fabricated by a machine shop, A model of another m trigger group would sure help in ease of said fabrication! |
| It is going to be like finding hens teeth. If you are trying to convert your sks to take ak mags there will be machine work to do in the magwell area, I have owned m models and they have the magwell opened up to fit the wider ak mag and have lip/catch machined into the front of magwell for the ak mag to lock onto. Also you will need to remove the bolt hold open stop. In all reality you would be better off getting an Ak and keeping your sks the way it is. I am not going to argue which one is better, In my opinion they are both very good rifles. I have both and I like them both. If you practice with both you can be very effective with either one. |
