I have bubbized my Yugo sort of, but since it's not a rare gun I figured why not.

I had my class 3 gunsmith cut the barrel down to 14.5 and re-crowned.

then I relocated the front sight, enlarged the gas port just a tiny bit and had the smith perm attach a yankee hill flash hider to make it a legal length of 17 inches

and then I added one of those tactical innovations rear peep sights so it looks like this.

then i attached my yankee hill .30 cal suppressor to it.

and now I have a quiet 10 shot semi auto. or an even more quiet single shot if I turn off the gas port.

Interesting, how does it cycle? Does it jam? I have read many posts on other forums that when a person cuts the barrel down too much on these it jams a lot...  Seems like you wasted a lot of $$$$ on this rifle, suppressor + tax stamp.....   Do you use the suppressor on another weapon besides this one?

the suppressor fits 4 weapons because it uses the proprietary flash hider from Yankee hill installed on all my rifles.

the gas port did need to be opened up a little bit to cycle reliably.

I have 8 tax stamps for various weapons, wasting money is what I do.

That is what I thought you would have to do to make it work right....  Must be nice to be able to blow away $$$  congrats

I'm not a big fan of bubba'd SKS rifles, but I gotta admit that one looks slick as hell!

I have the same can and yugo sitting around, just what I ned another project!Looks very sweet!I put a can on a Drako the AK pistol that I short barreled,It it is real nice, takes alot of the shock wave away. And its not as heavy in the front like a 16' barrel.

All Yugo's are dark, they are not chrome lined barrels......

Very tasteful and functional.  I would enjoy that rifle more than before you cut it.

That looks awesome! I have kind of a dumb question....What does it mean to open up the gas tube? Is it to enlarge the 2 holes on the side? Or to enlarge the ID of the gas tube?
