No SKS modified to use AK magazines was ever used by any army. Both models were produced by the Chinese for expot to the US. The  war was over long before the concept was dreamed up.

The SKS D was a conversion of an original Norinco SKS developed by a US Co. called Midwest Ordiance, they brought the Chinese over and taught them how to do the conversion, they used to do the conversions in the shop for around $100 not long afterwards the SKS D and M's started showing up in the American market.
