hey gang
i know this has probably been asked before, but i am tired of searching.
i have a norinco sks ad i would like to use the tapco 20 rd mags with my original stock?
first of all, is it possible? and if it is, would i have to make any mods to the stock?

It's possible,basically what you have to do is sand out the inside of the mag well so the mag doesn't pinch or bind when installed and cause feeding problems,when you insert the mag you can see where its rubbing on the wood where you need to take some off just go slow.

Also once you remove the original ten rd magazine you then fall under 922 regulations,that comes into play when you remove any one of the original imported parts on the rifle the Chinese had 14 imported parts and your rifle will have to end up with 10 or less of those original parts.

The original mag has 2 parts mag body and follower,the Tapco has 3 parts,mag body,follower and floor plate,you can only count the parts you remove from the original rifle so the Tapco will only count as 2 parts your need to remove 2 more parts to be legal,since you not changing the stock out the easiest thing to get you compliant is to replace the handguard 1 part ie gas tube doesn't count and the gas piston 1 part.  That will leave you with 10 original imported parts,just make sure the 20 rd mag is legal in your state.
