Well, after find two great write ups on the matter, I decided I'd try the simple part first.

I removed the trigger group and smoothed out and polished the sear.  It had two grooves on the mating surfaces.  I smoothed them out with some emery paper then polished them with a dremel.  Used the polishing compound and then polished it.

All in all, I'm actually quite happy with the result.  My trigger had a pretty nasty "dirt" drag to the pick up.  After this small adjustment it has a much smoother take up and trigger pull.  Not bad for approx 15min of work.  Nearly 10 of that finding a punch.

Next step will be remove the hammer and  polish the mating surfaces.  I'll pick up some Wolf or other aftermarket springs and replace the stockers with those.

Replace the original hammer spring with the  lighter Wolf spring can cause some FTF issues with some of the hard primed Russian ammo,as long as the original is in good condition I wouldn't replace it.  If your shooting reloads using the Wolf or CCI #34 Mil Spec primers you want have a problem with FTF with the after market  Wolf spring.
