Ok, I'm an idiot. I took out the gun not long ago. Shot numerous rounds through it and here is my delima..... At 50 yards, I could not even get the rounds on the paper. They all.... all, no matter how I adjusted the rear sight, shot lower left. I put it all the way up and was finally able to get it onto the paper, but not on target. What am I doing wrong? The bore looks good and shiny, no pitting. The chamber and throat are in great shape. The gun shoots smooth and cycles well. I'm at a loss. |

The rear sight is just for elevation only for 100 to 1000 meters, you adjust the side to side and up and down zero with the front sight block which requires a special tool. I set my rear sight first by sliding it all the way back then up to the first notch or click, that is call battle sight position,it will allow you to hit center mass out to about 300 meters with the front sight pin zeroed at 100 Yds. I set my YUGO and Chinese SKS up at 50 Yds first so I can see my sight adjustments better the rezero it out to 100 Yds. How to adjust www.surplusrifle.com/sks/sights/hs.asp Tool>Benny is a great guy he ships USPS to save shipping charges www.milsurpstuff.com/proddetail.asp?prod=SCPWEA05 |

I personally don't like the front sight pin on the SKS rifles its just to fat for me. Techsight makes a nice replacement pin for about $7 that includes shipping. Just click on the Accessories tab on the lift Item #TS152 - Target Post for the SKS/AK Rifles. www.tech-sights.com/ Techsight pin on Left Original Chinese or YUGO pin on Right
