Norinco's have two stage triggers correct? Well, if the gun is not cocked, the trigger is smooth as silk. However if you cock it, the first stage is horrible, it feels like it's rubbing against something. Any advice?

The Trigger group has to be cocked in order for the trigger bar to push the sear, so when it is not cocked it feels real smooth, because it is not contacting anything.

The main sear rides on rails, it is located about an inch back from the magazine catch, and shares a spring with the mag catch. All you have to do is pull one pin out, the mag catch, and spring, then the sear will come out. You could polish up the sear, and the rails it rides on, then you could pull the hammer, and polish up the engagement surface to make a smoother pull, but with stock components, you will never get a great trigger pull.

There is a company out there that is selling what they call "match" trigger groups. There is also people that you can send it to and they will do a trigger job on the sks, and replace springs and such.

Try it> My Norinco has a very smooth trigger, and it is the best shooting SKS of the 5 I have owned. (And the only Chinese so far.)

Never heard of two stage triggers on norincos.  My norinco varies between 2 to 4 stages, depending on the alignment of the moon and stars.

Not even joking about the 2-4 stages part, it sounds bad, but the last stage is surprisingly crisp for a commie gun.
