| I ordered a set of those not too long ago. In the short time I had them (they're at Firing Line now for going on the Krink they're building me) they felt pretty good. Very solid. There isn't a heat shield in the bottom, but these are made of delrin and supposed to be very durable. If they are as good as the other hanguards they've made they should be great. Now, I didn't think these were new, I thought they just decided to make their original design again. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought this is how they first started making their krink handguards. At some point people started wanting rails, so they started making them with integrated rails. I personally didn't like the look of the models they made with rails, so I was glad to get these. If I'm gonna go with rails, I'll get something like Krebs quad rail Krinkov forend. |
I feel the same way. I like the smoother lines of the traditional style, but my handguards look like they're finished with brown house paint. They have NO grain, lustre, ANYTHING. I'm doing my krink in an all-black PDW style. I just got some black poly mags from Kvar, and I'm replacing the flashhider with a barrelnut, so I think the whole package will look sleek and very cool. |
