| Hello all , Im a confirmed AR type , and will probably add an AK 47 type rifle ( MUST take CHEAP thiry rd military type mags.) , and would like to know which models are worth buying or not . I've 'heard' that the less expensive verstions wear rapidy (1Krds)and tend to start doubling ....? I dont want anything too special but would like a Flash Hider and Bayo lug maybe an underfolder too . AIM has some that come with Bayo and stuff for @$380 . (Bulgies i think , not under folders) are they good ? ,Im coming to think there are export quality vertions and then good ones....i know whats new ? , any advise appericiated . ive owned two sks's and a mini thirty (so the pressed vs. srcewed barral thing is the kind of info i want regaurding AKs) and i am wondering about AKs and do like the .7 62x39 rd . and may end up buying a realy nice sks if nothing else. Thanks RL |
I dont want your 'Krink' . But of all " the crappy comblock stuff " the Krink is pretty cool , ive been looking at this site : http://www.autochart.com/zastavaM92.htm They offer excellent Condition Zastava M92 "Krinkov" Parts Kit in 7.62x39mm for $400 + then have a link to Ohio recievers for a 60buck reciever ....SO how does one legaly go about biulding one (10" barrel and "full auto") ? is it the same 200 dollar tax route ? Short of a 1928 A-1 Thomson this "crappy comblock ..." thing is about the only full auto that excites me ...other than certian General electric (non crappy comblok) mini guns RL |
| Sorry bro, you can build a short barreled rifle if you take all the right steps and pay the $200 tax stamp, as long as in the end the ATF gives you the nod. But they are not gonna let you build it full auto with out a 10 year vacation in club fed. No new machineguns for private citizens period. Although I think if you were to track down a registered full auto AK and managed to aquire it, you can have it converted to a krink IIRC. That would probably cost oh...$15,000 after all is said and done. |
| Thanks Tiapan It was the reciever date thing that had me wondering . what about using a 16"AK barrel ? OR inventing some sort of muzzle brake to get the 10er to 16 (pinned .sweated. staked . spotwelded, gluded and ducktaped on of course :) ? Tiapan , let me ask you something B4 I got on this Krink thing all I really wanted was a good example of a semi auto AK type rifle ,(underfolder if poss. ) do you have any suggestions ? I been surfing the AK section and the differant model designations are absolutly baffling to me , i lost track after MAK 90 and AK 74 , and while I want one , i dont think im going to wade through the learning cure of figuring out , saigas , single stack , single stacks that have been converted to double stacks , hungarian / bulgarian parts sets , 'low quality export models' , Blah , Blah . I just want a resonable example of a well made (if a little sloppy and poorly finished , I know sloppy is a good thing) AK Type rifle with bayo lug and slant brake , I know Norinco would be a good find (god whod have thought !) but im more interested in what i could order off the net , and dealed locs. if poss. I not trying to unload my homework on you , but if you know off the top of your head . the last Ak types i saw in a shop (newly made $380 kind ) looked...ok , but the markings on the reciever right side just above mag. well were so poorly done as to be alarming ..to me . No kidding , Ive seen a totaly hand made SMLE rifle from the Kyber Pass area that was marked better than that , and some of those letters were backward ! At least with my 1896 producded Mosin Nagant it's hard to tell whats backward anyway ! The Zsars Crown says it all to me , but then he lost it and finns were kind enough to add 'SA' and they stamped out the Arshins and added Meters , and counter bored , but the commies got it back and replaced the originl stock with a TULA star marked stock of the correct early style . Arshins (28 to inch) made more sense than some one marking a rifle like ive seen . Thanks R L , Taipan sorry i misspelled your name :( |

I shopped around before I got my krink and i am telling you as an end user and a person who is pretty picky about quality and you need to call Mike at Ohio rapid Fire. I have put about 2K rounds through my krink, its accuracy makes AR guys freak out, the rifle arrives looking mint with no machine marks, customer service is exceptional ( Mike said he would remove my fake suppressor for free when my SBR paperwork arrives), the trigger is so amazing that the guys with custom trigger jobs just salivate :), anyway... it was money well spent with them. i have seen others and I just think you would do well to check em out. I am gonna burn up a case of Barnaul and some wolf tommorrow and I am hoping to get a video up to show the incredible trigger speed that this baby can put out. Good luck in you Krink search... it is well worth it. Anthony |

Im speaking to Wellco Arms about a Krink SBR build as we speak, I bought one his short barreled 47 pistols, and should have it next week, once I inspect it, Im probably going to do the Krink immediately thereafter. I just might add a real suppressor purchase at the same time, and do all the paperwork with the Policia at once. Im also considering a legal suppressor for a 22 caliber application as well. 22 in rimfire that is.... |
