I should have the parts in and starting the build in a couple of weeks.  Anything I should know before starting (other then the SBR tax Stamp).  Rivets, wood, special tools or shortcuts.
Thanks

Be sure to install the butt stock catch assembley before you rivet the front trunion. Put the assembly in and then set the trunion in over it aligning the axis pin into the trunion hole as you push the trunion down into the rec, then rivet in place. You dont have to cut or bend anything to get the butt stock release assembly spring retaining pin out or in but you will want to by the time you get it done. The dust cover is installed by putting the gas tube retaining pin spring in the hole first, then the gas tube retaining pin. Install the hinge pin and peen the straight end just enough to keep in place. I did mine with a backing plate and a pin punch. Wipe the crappy paint off of the hand guards with denatured alcohol and refinish as you like.
Oh ya, have fun, to me the building is as much a kick as shooting the finished product.

Naaaaah.
Just install it prior to pressing the barrel back. The trunnion hole for retaining pin is drilled all the way through, so you can use the pin punch inserted from top to guide the assembly.

I installed the catch assembly first then the trunion because it made it a lot easier for me to get the spring, catch and pin fit together in the rec with out the trunion in the way. Worked for me so I just listed the way I did it. As always there is more than one way to get er done.
