I need help with this rifle. I've had a few other AKs before but never a Maadi. Just want to know what you guys think this rifle is worth and if the ARM Maadi is good rifle.

MAADI AKMs are one of the better AKs out there. This one has seen better days but nothing you couldn't correct. I own two MAADI rifles both are the same importer as yours (Intrac).
Of all the post-ban style MAADIs out there the Intrac is the best of them. They were also imported by Century Arms and PARS International. An Intrac MAADI in excellent shape typically goes for $600-$800. This one is a little rough. I would rebuild it to preban configuration to repair it. I would easily pay $300 for this rifle upwards of $450. You have to consider that AK kits without a receiver and non-functioning are going for $400+ right now. This rifle has an original receiver (although it looks damaged) and barrel so at the very least as a rebuild it's worth more than just a kit. As for the previous post, I don't think that is pitting. MAADI rifles have a thick spray paint finish and tend to chip. It looks like chipping to me. The hammer pin hole looks damaged or deformed and the opposite side looks bulged. Look at it closely to see if this is damage from shooting. It may also be bubba marks from trying to change the hammer with a hammer? |
