got an EOtech on a low mount at it's beautiful.  passed it around a bit and people were hitting better with it than with their own weapons, including the guy who works in the AR industry.  762x394evr!

edited for mandatory presentation pic, ripped off of general AK

Wait one damn minute! The EOTECH was not original issue equipment in 1954 Soviet Russia. Take it off or you will be banned from the site!

Did you even stop to ask permission from the losers experts on here?

actually it was original issue.  it's a little known fact that not only was eugene stoner cloned and put in a time machine and relocated to the soviet union and renamed kalishnikov, but he also took the secrets of holographic sight technology with him.  EOTech is really a bunch of posers.  Oh and the VEPR is really the original AK design, it was modified to the '54 ak because the wood furniture could be used in an emergency for fuel in the cold siberian winters.   so i have the only REAL original AK in existence!  PWNED!

which mount are you using and is it possible to mount the eotech any farther forward without hitting the front sight and  still be solid?

it's the standard russian low mount, got it from freedomoptics.com.  you can move the eotech up maybe an inch and still have it solid on the rail.  i think there are rails you can put in place of the rear irons.

You have about 16 inches before you hit the front sight.
