If you are up for alittle more work I made this piece out of some scrap rectangle I had around the shop. I attached two types of rails. One (the bottom) was a cutdown piece intended for a full lenght AR handguard. I believe it was a John Mansen product. The sides were a cheap Chinese ones but they were aluminum and very durable. They are attached by 1/4 bolts and nuts thru the handguard. The handguard is attached to the rifle with two metric socket head bolts thru two holes drilled into the reciever that clamp the handguard back to itself. These are very stout. This method also allows the barrel to float. This rifle easily out shoots my PSL and does't shift as much after it gets hot like the PSL. It cost me a few hours to make and about $55 not counting the handle but it really changes the look and feel of the weapon. If you need any more info drop me an e-mail. I don't have the time to make anymore though. I wish I had made at least a couple while I was at it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/Maroman/Picture079.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/Maroman/Picture078.jpg |

Even with the heavy barrel the veprs tend to string verticly 30s go in great drums even better but 40s are a no go with the grip installed The plan was for a longer handguard but I had trouble getting the cut where the reciever slip in at the right angle so it was abbreviated several times. The final product was too short for 40s. I also had plans for a bipod mount but that got eliminated with the shorting of the handguard. I put one one but I take the grip off first. erickktm if you want pics from diffrent angles let me know. |
