New is about $600. I have one and love it. The best AK in my opinion. You won't be dissapointed.

You know I looked for one for like a month and noone had one, I would jump on it before someone else does. No more will be in country for about 2 more months. And thats a good price. They are great guns, I have one in .308 and plan on getting one in 7.62x39 later. Go for it.

Had my VEPR-K .223 with comp for about 3 weeks now, and I would highly recommend the VEPR to anyone interested in an AK.

IIRC, the comp is a $50 extra, and new ones come with only one mag from RobArms.

You can make the Romanian AK thumbhole stocks work. You can make them look nice when you refinish  them if you do it properly. I would call Robinson and ask about a wood forearm or look on ebay. If I get a .308 I want a wood forearm.

Ace makes a reciever block that can be made to work. I used it on mine. It will take any ace stock or any AR stock however the A2 stocks rub your hand to much but any of the colapsable stuff. I went back to the factory stock because to me it is the most ergonomic for me. I am going to skeletanize it.

I've seen it done, but you need a receiver block to do it.  Check out Ace's site.
