Hello
Curious as to what I just bought from sportsmanguide. Seems to be a cut milled receiver since I can't find any rivets.

Is it possible to use this for a home built on a bent receiver?

thanks

any info would be helpful

Odds are it is a PLO capture Russian parts set, and needs a milled rec from Firing Line or ORF.

Some have guessed that you can use milled end stubs like trunions to tap/rivet into a stamped rec, but setting headspace is Not for rookies.

Hi, I have a Russian Under Folder that is built up from a SG kit. I had the FL install the barrel assembly and head space it on one of their receivers. These guns are all milled receivers with treaded barrels. As mentioned setting one of these up is not for beginners. The guys a the Firing Line can fill you in on what it takes to get one of these kits going and the costs involved. It aint cheap but in the end if all is well with the kit you come out with a pretty darn nice gun. I think that most of them are indeed PLO capture guns built in the 50's. The FL is a great place to get work done and the quality is top of the line. If the cost is more than you are willing to go I would look at doing some other type of kit. You can always send the kit back to SG.
