I have a friend who has a Russian Tiger. He cannot get the light in the scope working. It was working when he bought the Tiger New in the box.

He has two types of batteries and one recharger for the all metal battery.

The ceramic battery had 0 vdc charge on it.

The metal battery had 2.601 vdc charge on it.

The output of the charger has 10.02 vdc on it.

I am charging the metal battery right now. The owner said he did the same thing and when he installed it into his scope the light would not light up. I was not there when he installed the battery into the scope nor have I seen his Tiger.

Are these the correct batteries? Is there a place he can buy new batteries and a charger if these are wrong? Is there a repair facility that could look at his scope and see if the light is failing if the batteries are correct?

I will update the battery charge info on here after I have a 24 hour charge on it.
Thanks for your help.

Shouldn't your buddy have a PSO-1M2 scope? If so it uses CR357 type watch batteries, wouldn't see the need to use a special battery for it.

Any pics of the scope?

Thanks! I am a member so I will post something in there later today.

I don't know what his scope is. I will have to ask him and maybe get some pictures. I do believe one of these batteries did come out of the scope.

yes. the "orange" battery with the "2,5 B" (2.5 V) is the original battery for the PSO-1M2. tell your friend to keep it for collectible value.
