i PICKED UP A SAIGA SGL10 7.62X39....BRAND NEW FOR $450.00 WITH ACCES....LAPUA AMMO 30 RNDS AND 2 MAGPUL 30 RNDS WITH WINDOW AND 223 AMMO 75 GRAIN GOLD BY WOLF......HOPE ITS A GOOD PRICE...

AND KVAR IF OFFERING A KIT FOR $63.00 FOR THE KIT.....IF KVAR KIT IS ALL I NEED? MAYBE A BULLET GUIDE AS WELL....THE TRUNNION IS ALREADY HAS A HOLE, WHICH IS NICE IF I WOULD CONVERT THAT ALSO.....
ANY ADVICE WILL BE HELPFUL?

Awesome! I would get the kit from K-var, and also get a bullet guide from Dinzag. Since your trunnion is already drilled, it's kinda a no brainer for me. I would recommend finding a take off trigger guard though. That way it's already completely assembled. I tried one and was off just a tad and it wouldn't work. I do the rivets on them myself, but you can always use bolts and nuts. I have seen this done before. Good luck and post pics as you go!

If I need help for the conversion i got your #....thanks a lot.....do i need to shave anything in magazine? if I convert the bullet guide?

if you replace the trigger guard you won't have to shave anything. If you go the cheap route and re-use the old one, you will need to shave the mag release a bit to accept standard mags

I'm not sure how much they're going for today, prices have come down now that the panic buying has cooled off but during the panic they went for $500 to $600 just for the rifle alone, so it seems like you got a good deal. Looks like you'll have some new fun this summer.

I think I got a good deal....my plan is shoot it for couple hundred rounds and make the conversion, just to see the diff...my first AK  and loving it so far.......

I was about to PM u to thank you..for your offer, your help + tel#.....I thank you again ....but little research and very happy with the outcome.....Paint is Rustoluem fine textured paint....almost the exact paint of the original......a little shake and bake and she's cooked......and I let sit for more couple days before start assembling her......very good outcome.....so far so good......thanks again N.......any thought on the Bulgy steel mags? new for $12.00....I loved the 20 hungarian from AIM....not to crazy about the Euro mag..from them...that's what in the pic...but not too crazy about it....but hell, they all shoot darn good......

any steel surplus is good IMO. I remember when the ones with the spines were "rare" b/c all we had was Chinese!
