Both of my WASR10s came with a very stiff leather sling. It seems that in everone else's pics on this forum no one else has the same stiff leather slings. They all appear to be a soft green cloth or canvas type sling. Does everyone immediately replace their leather slings with this green one, do some guns come with green slings or am I the only one getting leather? If you guys are replacing, is there a good sponsor or someone the get the green slings?? |
| Go to a sporting goods store and pick up some baseball glove oil or something similar. I've been treating mine with Meguiar's Leather Conditioner. Sold my car with leather seats and have a bottle of it sitting on the shelf. I doubt a Romanian cow has never seen so much love! |
My new WASR-2 came with the nylon green sling. If you don't like the leather, order some East German slings at copesdist.com for 8 bucks each. They're like the green Romys, but gray. Or call Century and ask if they sell the nylon green slings separately. |
just ask my ex-wife I'm going to make my own. I have some coyote nylon and assorted fittings, and I'm going to use the little hook from the front of the leather sling on it too. |
