| I am picking up my new GP WASR 10 tomorrow, besides a good cleaning, what else should be done before going to the range? I have heard about using a dremel tool in the mag well, how do I tell if it needs this work? Let me know anything I can do to make this a good running machine, thanks.. |
| first make sure all the cosomolne is cleaned out of the bolt and barrel and fcg..take the mags apart thay will be full of cosomo you will get nasty ''. then take it out and shoot the hell out of it have i forgot about the magwell mine was fine,,mags fit fine// tight //even have a 75 round drum thats works fine |
shoot a couple K more thru it,.. my WASR did not like HP's or SP's when i got it out of the box about two years ago,..... now it shoots whatever i feed it,...even the rusty corroded shit (dont ask) but it has always run like a champ on FMJ's,... butt ugly,.. but it getts the job done. |
Century imported single stack mag low cap rifles into the states, and converted them to high cap once in the country. They are known to do a sloppy job, so you can dremal the mag well so that high cap mags will fit. If you bought one of the low cap rifles that has not been converted by Century, you can do it yourself. Check out this website for info and pics: http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/wasrwell.htm |
