I have a couple of questions for those of you who have shot and/or owned a WASR-2 in 5.45x39.

1.  Are there any common problems that occur with them?

2.  Are there any reliability problems with them?

3.  What accuracy should I expect?  3 MOA or Minute of Pie Plate?

4.  Should I get one over finishing my AR M4gery for plinking, nuisance hunting, and HD?

I'm considering getting an WASR-2 because I can get a rifle, a bunch of mags, and 1000 rounds of 5.45 for the same price of an AR upper.  And since I'm a college student I think the cheaper rout would be the best.

My SAR2 is 2.5".

Issues are just the usual hand pick for straight sights and clean mag well, since they came in as lo-caps unlike SARs which were made as hicaps (but still had a few fit/finish issues).

Where in OH?

About 3hrs from my reg range...

Also consider 5.56 sporter form Saigas at $260 in local shows. Mine was 2" on cheap Wolf as stock. See Russian forum for threads stuck on future conversions from 10rnd mag form. Fine foundation and darn cheap start. Get Galil mags from cdnn before they get snapped up with a few thousand new Galils on the mkt, and see Dinzag on saiga-12 for a feed ramp. That's where my money went.
