Found a NIB FPK marked FPK TG KNox TN, for what I think is a good price, about $200 less than other posted prices on Gunbroker. I assume it is a Tennessee Guns. What was dealer wholesale price on these? Was this assembled in the US or in Romania? Price check NIB without any scope (I have several) 1mag and sling, and what appears to be intact bayo lug? I've read mixed reviews on this, looking for opinions. This is the only one I've seen up close. Fit, finish and riviting are as good as the Romanian and Bulgarian AK's I have. |

AFAIK, if the receiver markings are on the bottom, it was imported as a bare receiver and assembled as a kit gun here. With that said, about $700 minus optics is the average price I have seen on these rifles. You have to make a judgement call since you can actually handle the rifle. If the numbers are matching minus the receiver, then chance of a better build are good. Hootbro |

I just picked up a Romak 3 with the illuminated reticle scope, 1 mag and sling, looks new but I think a few rounds have been fired through it. I cleaned it up when I got home today and the bore if very bright. The markings are on the side of the receiver, not the bottom. 650.00 OTD I'm assuming that is a good price but what do these ones usually go for? |

I looked at it in the store for a few minutes last weekend and it had the PSO-1 4x24 non illuminated meaning without tritium or a battery compartment, one mag and the sling. The scope on it was priced separate from the weapon. Price tag attached for the weapon with mag and sling was $600. The scope was price at $169. I have a few illuminated PSO scopes so no big deal. Made a phone call back to shop the next day and was given a "phone" bottom line price for the weapon, mag and sling of $580 plus tax. I've read mixed reviews of the FPK, and this one looked well built, but that is only one indicator of function and reliability. While I'm concerned about price, I'm ultimately motivated for buying the weapon to hit the paper target every time I pull the trigger for a distance of 600M or less with a consistant shot group. All I need is the weapon, mag and sling, so men, is this a good price and should I go get it? Opinions? |
| AFAIK, the scope rail on the PSL/FPK/Romak 3 will not accomidate a Russian PSO-1 or any other standard AK/SVD style optic. The PSO-1 that the Romanian guns use is supposedly illuminated with tritium before it comes into the country, and is deactivated for import. If the optics you have are tritium-illuminated, Romanian manufacture scopes, then that's not a bad deal. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere for a cheaper price on the package with the correct scope. |
I think he's confused by the difference between AK and SVD mount rails. You are correct ... PSLs use the same rail mount as SVDs. They aren't the same rifle, but the scope mount rails are the same. |
