Bought a WASR-10 recently, and the trigger says "TAPCO G2" on the side. Is this a decent component or something that needs to be replaced?

It's fine.
it might be the only Tapco part that won't start a flame war.

Tapcos are just fine. Most of us use them in AK builds.

+1 G2s are great triggers, no problems from any gun i've ever fired with one.
