Has anyone recently purchased a Romy kit from Centerfire Systems? They are advertised as excelent condition with matching SN#. Any word on quality of products and customer service?

I tryed out 4 of them they were all great bores matching numbers except for one that had a miss matched reciver cover

one rifle had a rusty sight but it was the best bore apeared unshot  As did several others   Very Good Kits But The Other Day I called and they said add 10 for handpick to ensure matching numbers so they must be dwindling down on the match sets.

Their customer service sucks!  If a problem was to arise you would have to send the parts back and pay the shipping and then hope they get it right the second time.

I belive i would get one from elsewhere  And most certainly not get any mags from centerfire they sent me rusty junk i called and got a RMA number but for what it would cost to ship it back i could get another.

i "bought" a rifle from them last year. i talked to lois on the phone and gave my CC info to hold the rifle. the next day i sent a copy of the ffl to them. i called again 3 days later to confirm they recieved the ffl and they did. so one week later i drive the the ffl's shop to start dros on the rifle. it was not there. i call lois again and was told the rifle will be shipped the next day. so a week later i go to the ffl to start dros. again the rifle is not there. i call lois again and was told there is no more rifles and that it wa sold to someone else. the rifle was a chilean mauser in 762 nato. i called the day they put out the advertisment they were in stock when i gave my CC info. i was told in nicer words to STFU. i will never deal with centerfire again. i recomend you buy from bocefus on akfiles or dph arms or copes. thay all have great reps.

Aim includes a mag with their kit. Centerfire will not "price-match". All of the reasons listed on this thread made me go elsewhere.

Just my own personal experience too. I have made several orders from CFS now and everything was fine. Goods were at least as good as advertised and sometimes better.
Frankly, I have yet to have a bad service from any dealer I have dealt with. They've all be fine to excellent to deal with. Maybe I'm just lucky.

I have mixed feelings about Centerfire. On one hand all the Romy G kits I got from them last year were basically new, cut up rifles. These kits also came with some really nice swirled multi-colored marbled plastic/bakelite grips I have rarely seen. On the other hand, I wanted to order several AMD leather slings from them and asked them via email about the weight of the package as its related to price of shipping (over 10 lbs.). I never got a response either time (I asked them twice). Since I never got an answer, I didn't order.
