I bought a WASR GP-10 (with forward laminate pistol grip) about 2 months ago, and at the time I didn't know what the difference was with them and other AK's. Mine came with a threaded muzzle compensator, but of course no mag dimples on the receiver. And then I read some problems some WASR owners had with their guns. Today I took it out and put 80 rds through it (that's all I had.... ![]() I guess I can't speak for all WASR's, but I know mine worked great, and I don't regret getting it. I'm going to call Centerfire Systems on Tuesday and ask about the WASR AK-74's they have for $329. If they have a thread muzzle comp, I'm going to buy one and put the 74 muzzle break on it and get a new set of handguards with the pistol grip. |
If you're asking me, which I assume you are, I bought those handguards and stock from a person on gunsnet I think...it might have been on the equipment exchange here, I can't remember..anyways my rifle came with the crappy Tapco side-folder and flat sided lower handguards....I think these look much better, also I bought the upper handguard at a local gunshow, it's laminated, so it's impossible to crack it.(which I did to the old one! |
Yup, just put the shiny side towards the barrel. It reflects the best. (I mention this because many kinds of foil have a more shiny side.) |
