| How hard is it to change the front sight block and straighten or change the rear sight block on a WASR? Also do I have to have a press to do this? Thanks for any info. What tools are handy? thanks again. |

Well, I've done the FSB. It's easy.. heat it up a little, tap the pins out (from the left side I *think*) remove FSB, install new block, line it up straight, drill holes for pin (I used a hand drill but I like taking risks) and tap in the new pins. I re-used the old ones. Not easy, but by no means difficult. Rear is going to be a b@#$# |
| It is already coated in Alumihyde 2 though so I am thinking the heat will be a bad thing. I may just thread it but then I will not have the bayo lug(like I would ever use it any way). Do you think a good whack with a mallet will do? I could just refinish the barrel to. What did you use to heat it a torch or a heat gun? |
