I was thinking on converting my hi cap wasr's to underfolders using this kit from kvar
www.k-var.com/product.asp?0=216&1=228&3=461

besides for cutting the sides of the reciever in the rear, what else would need to be done, is this a job that can be done relatively easy, etc.

lastly, has anyone else done this??

thanks in advance

For starters, you'd need to find a rear trunnion for an underfolder.  That UF stock at K-Var doesn't include the rear trunnion.

There is no rear trunnion in that kit.  It's easy to cut the holes but you would have to fill the existing holes and refinish.

so I would need to fill any exsisting rivet holds that would have to be taken out,,,, and I need a rear trunnion for it?? also, does anyone have or sell a template for exactly where to cut the holes?

There's a guy who is selling rear trunnions and underfolders on gunbroker.com.

I'd like to do this to, but to a dragnov (sp) WASR. But I'm not sure which parts are US made and which are imported. I'd have to put on a pistol grip, the folding stock, and the trunnion. The trunnion on gunbroker is US made, and the pistol grip I know can be found US made.

I'd also have to mill out the mag well, as the one I saw was a single stack. No biggie for  though.

More trouble than its worth.  Your better off buying a kit and building on a flat or %100 receiver.

I did that on a sar 1 a few years ago .  I used the trunnion for the template.  The top rivet hole was the same for both.   Worked out well.
