| I JUST GOT BITTEN BY THE AK BUG & PURCHASED 2 ROMANIAN KITS . ON BOTH KITS IT APPEARS THE REAR SIGHT BASES ARE CROOKED. BOTH KITS ARE # MATCHING & LOOK UNFIRED. IS THERE ANYWAY TO STRAIGHTEN THEM OR SHOULD LOOK FOR NEW SIGHT BASES? |

How are your rear sights crooked? Tilted left or right or diagonally? By diagonally I mean the front is to the left side of the reciever while the back portion is towards the right (or vice versa). Two different problems and two different solutions. Can you get a picture at all to help? I'm not a MSU fan so I can read correct typing just fine BTW. I wasn't trying to "piss on your post". Sorry. I had a boss from Ohio once, shoulda known better than saying something to you. |

if its only the RSB then your lucky, the romy I got the FSB cants left, the GB cants right and the RSB cants left, the piston would drag on the gas tube and cause the carrier to hang up, had to open the rails real wide to make it sloppy enough to operate reliably. my brother just put one together today that everything was perfect on, except the trunion, it was drilled crooked, when mounted to the recevier the barrel tilted to the left, I went to work on it with a big screw driver and a monkey wrench and when I finished the carrier has alot of slop and the rifle runs like a champ, these rommies are kinda hit and miss on quality, but they all can be made to work. |

Rocket My WASR10 has the RSB canted also. It appears that the whole thing is tilted about 5 degrees to the right. It is very obvious when you sight down the dust cover to the front sight...the rear doesn't line up. I've pushed the front sight to the right so the cylinder on the FS sticks out about 1/8". It shoots straight (BTW I installed a threaded AK74 style brake on this rifle and it groups 3-4" with Wolf...before brake it grouped 7-9") I'd like to know also if this is fix-able...mine runs like a champ but cosmetically is isn't the best. |
