I'm finally in.  Picked it up today.

First redundant question:

Do these Century Arms WASR 10's come with the right number of US parts to be legal?  I figured they *have* to to be sold, but had to ask the question.

The mag that came with it fits loosely...the two extra Chinese mags I got fit nice an tight.

I ground off the trigger slap business but the trigger still "tangs" when I work the action.  I guess I'll take it apart and ground off some additional material underneath where the spring goes.

Wooohooo!

Grinding the FCG is for the birds, get a G2 of the Equipment Exchange, $30 shipped.
Enjoy that rifle!

The rifles 5 US made parts are:

hammer
trigger
sear
gas piston
pistol grip

If you add a muzzle break, it has to be US made, or you have to replace something else with a US made product.  Ironwood stocks or kvar stocks come to mind.

I was thinking about getting new stocks for it, but wasn't sure if it came with US made wood ones or not.  I'll look into some now...

I have had some trouble with the mag release being so difficult to push that I had to use a hammer to get the mag out.  I have three mags, one is very difficult, another only just so and the actual mag that came with it is not very hard.  I've been grinding on the magazine lip (or whatever it's called), to try to smooth out the release.

I very carefully filed on the magazine release lever to smooth out the stamping.

Do any of you have problems getting the mags to come out?  I have discovered that I can only touch the release at first, only grabbing the mag to catch it as it comes out.  If I hold the mag and try to push the button, it binds up.

How do the terrorists change mags so fast with this silliness going on?

grab the mag and the realease in the same hand, at the same time, and pull toward the front to the rifle.  it should slide out like butter.

You might look into getting an RSA ambi mag release.  It allows you to release the mag without moving your had from the grip.  I put one on my SAR-2 and love it.
