Does anyone know where to get the parts to convert a Romanian SAR-1 to a underfolder after the ban sunsets. |

There are several places that will sell you what you need. There is a "but" though, you do know that you will have to replace the rear trunion and make some serious modifications to the rear of your reciever to install an underfolder. right? There are Romanian side folders that are available cheap that need nothing more than the ability to operate a flat tip screw driver to install, they are actually a good solution given that they lock tight when extended, and provide a better cheek weld than the underfolders (of course that is a subjective opinion). Myself I plan on either building or buying an underfolder as soon as the ban is done, but it would be nearly as expensive to properly convert a SAR-1 as it will be to purchase a complete underfolder equipped rifle. |
