| if you were going to put a side rail scope mount on you ak type would you use a high or low mount with the 1 inch rings or the weaver>sp rail and if you know which one you would use why and where could you find one??? btw keep it cheap im pritty much broke |

What kind of optic are you thinking of? There are some nice PSO/PSOP side rail mounted scopes that aren't very expensive. I've been thinking about getting the POSP 4x24V for my SAR1. Check out FreedomOptics.com. They have a nice selection of scopes and red dots. They have Weaver mounts and rings too. |
| If you really need to migrate optics between commie and western guns, then look into the $40 Belarussian weaver rail mount (wee bit higher and left than I prefer but rock solid) or the MTK75 with integral 1" rings. But for the money, the PSO4x24 at $100 including integral mount can not be beat. |
