what is the difference in the WASR 10 and SAR 1?  Is it that the SAR has a laminated stock and the WASR doesnt?

The WASR originally had a 10 round mag, some were redone by Century Arms to ecept 30 round mags. I have a SAR 1 and a WASR 10 and they are just about identical, The WASR doesnt have the dimples on the sides above the mag well. They have plates welded on the inside to keep the mags from jiggleing around. My WASR mags are actully tighter fitting than my SAR. Other than that I cant really tell a difference in them, both function and shoot very well, niether has had and failures at all. There both good in my book, cant go wrong with either one.
